[FR] « Time to Get a Job » est le premier album d’ALABASTER, rassemblement d’ex et actuels membres d’Overmars, Sofy Major, Geneva et Kiruna. « C’est le moment de trouver un travail » est aussi ce que les gens vous répondent très souvent quand vous leur expliquez qu’à trente ans passés vous passez encore des heures à répéter avec votre groupe indé de noise-hardcore, mais aussi des heures sur la route pour vous rendre dans des bars et des clubs où jouer trente minutes c’est Noël (si Noël c’est votre truc), à partir du moment où plus de 10 personnes sont dans la salle… Eh bien, merci du conseil, mais en fait les mecs d’ALABASTER ont (presque) tous un job. Simplement, ils ne sont pas prêts à arrêter de répéter, s’enfiler des bornes et jouer, surtout pas au moment où leur premier effort est sur le point de sortir.

[EN] « Time to Get a Job » is the first full-length by French act ALABASTER, whose line-up includes former and current members of Overmars, Sofy Major, Geneva and Kiruna. It is also what people often tell you when you explain that you’re in your thirties and still spending hours in rehearsal with your indie noise-hardcore band, as well as hours on the road to get to bars and clubs where playing a thirty-minutes set feels like Christmas (if Christmas’s your thing) when more than 10 people attend…. Well, thanks for the advice people, but the guys in ALABASTER actually (almost) all got a job now… They’re just not ready to give up on practicing, hitting the road and performing, especially at a time when their first album is finally coming out.
