DEAFHEAVEN At Work In The Fields Of The Bomb – Vinyl LP (wild rye green | black)

Pressing info : First pressing on green vinyl LP or black vinyl LP.

The release brings the California band together in a 12-inch format with its characteristic interplay of alternative rock, post-metal, and shoegaze. Since its early releases, Deafheaven has combined heavy, atmospherically dense guitar work with expansive soundscapes and emotionally charged vocals. On Roadrunner, the group continued to develop this approach, placing greater emphasis not only on extreme dynamics but also on melodic and structural contrasts. The “At Work In The Fields Of The Bomb” 12-inch thus belongs to the work of a band that continually shifts its means of expression between powerful outbursts and introspective passages. The actual title of the work remains clearly distinct from the product specification: the release offered is the Green Vinyl Edition, while “At Work In The Fields Of The Bomb” denotes the musical title. For Deafheaven, the release marks another fusion of sophisticated indie rock, intense guitar music, and the open approach to form with which the band has shaped its profile since “Sunbather,” “New Bermuda,” and “Infinite Granite.” Roadrunner presents the record as a 12-inch release from a band whose music operates between heaviness, atmosphere, and melodic expansiveness.
