This album is the result of constant composition work between February 2022 and March 2023, mainly at altitudes of over 1000m during residencies in Chartreuse, Vercors and Haute Savoie. It was recorded in 2 sessions in early 2023, and clearly benefited from our (then recent) live experience with this band. So it’s conceived as a rock band making electronic music, rather than the other way round… which is probably why this album (which is the band’s 2nd attempt at recording) is really close to what we wanted to do in terms of sound, composition and production… after 3 mix versions of each track, we said to ourselves “that’s it, the sound’s there, let’s leave it at that, it’s top”.
It’s an eclectic but coherent album, influenced by 1,000 things we’ve listened to, drank or eaten… We think it’s a record you can listen to alone in your living room, or share with friends late at night…
